I know I’ve been gone. A while. 19 days, and counting. Sorry ‘bout that.
To make up for it, I’m making a “tops songs” post!
I went through my playlist (736 songs!), chose my favorites, and linked them. This took a while.
Off we go!
I saw this movie, maybe two days ago? It was crazy cool (coming from someone who likes to write and do music) and it had Phillipa Soo. A. Ma. Zing. I could go into more detail about the movie (maybe I should do a movie review) but now isn’t the best time.
This one is, uh, hard to explain. It’s from the point of view of a stalker (maybe two?). I like the story element, and the music is lovely. It’s kinda creepy, but I don’t really care. : )
While I was away, I kinda fell into an alec Benjamin rabbit hole. I don’t feel bad about it.
Another thing I love is the rhyming, like at the beginning, with “Larva”, “Colorado”, and “Desperado”. Truly brilliant.
AHHH IT’S SO CUTE AND CHILL I JUST LOVE IT
Absolute perfection. 10/10.
DEAR EVAN HANSEN, WE’VE BEEN WAY TO OUTTA TOUCH
I relate to Christine, so much, that I named a succulent after her.
My favorite beheaded wife of king Henry the 8th ❤
This might be a bit, controversial, but I complety believe that this is the best Mamma Mia song.
Oh my gosh. I love this. The song is wonderful,, and you can really see the story and thought process behind it. Plus, the part when she doubts herself (Do I rewind, induce amnesia?) ties in so well with Little Miss Perfect.
This song- heck, this entire musical, is fun and hilarious. Elle Woods is just an amazing character.
You can really hear the panic and fantasizing in this song. I love it. The imagery is cool too.
Who knew, a musical about man-eating plant aliens could be so pretty?
I cried. This was such an amazing musical, and just as good of a movie. If you haven’t seen it (It’s called The Prom) then I recommend you do. I should make a movie review of it.
(Here’s the link to the Movie Version)
It’s extremely upbeat, seeing as they were just attacked, but it’s a fun one. I recommend seeing this one as well.
Ah, here it is. FALSETTOS. If I could. I would, 100%, put the entire soundtrack of this musical on this list. But, with some self control, I haven’t. You’re welcome. : )
It’s bootiful. Lovely.
It’s a bonus track, so It’s not “actually” a part of the show, but it’s a fun song. It really shows the group’s dynamic.
I just love this song. The decision is spur-of-the-moment, and I can relate to that. And, Phillipa Soo. Of course.
Oddly enough, with my love of Phillipa Soo, and Hamiltion, this is my favorite song.
Garnet is wonderful. That’s my only statement.
I relate to Pearl, so much.
Chill and lovely.
Such a bop.
I also relate to Spinel, and I don’t know if that’s a bad thing.
This song is a favorite, and has been, for about 3 years now. ❤
Even though this song isn’t technically in the show, I still love it.
And that’s it! What are your favorite songs and/or artists? How do you feel about he songs on my list? (Hate comments will go into the depths that is my spam comment folder)
Now, a few notes.
I’m not going to force myself to post every week now, since that definitely wasn’t working. Instead, I will be gently pleading with myself to post, at least twice a month. Let’s see how that works out.
Also, I’m rebranding. I (formerly Catie) am now Catey. Such a change, I know. Now, this doesn’t mean you can’t refer to me as Catie. I will respond to Catey, Catie, or Queen of Razzberries. Your choice.
And, I might change my posts up a bit. I will be doing writing, music, fashion, lifestyle, bits of commentary and comedy, and, new feature- debate essays, because I’m extremely stubborn and argumentative. So, if you have any, drop some debate topics and writing prompts! Or just nice comments. I accept those too.
Collabs are open! Hopefully, collabs will help me stay motivated.
That’s it! I hope you enjoyed it.
I love ya, stay cool, and stay safe. ❤
